Recently I sent a friend of mine on Facebook an invitation to be a guest speaker here at MLMBabysteps.com. I asked him if he could share his testimony on his success within his primary business opportunity. Instead of a yes or no response, He sent me a link for The Trump Network. It made me realize I was speaking to someone that is just like what I used to be in this industry. In fact, I have had many do this on Facebook and Twitter since.
The video of The Trump Network launch in Miami was as sensational as it could be, seeing who was on it, The Trumpman himself. Thousands flew there just to hear him speak for less than 30 minutes or so. There is great buzz over this believe me. But, buzz or not, the same thing still exists that has always existed in every network marketing adventure, that is, the needy, I don’t know what to do, networker.
If people think that they will be successful just because of Trump, they are in for a rude awakening, and so is Mr. Trump himself. So, why won’t Donald Trump and Network Marketing work? Let me ask you this. How many people end up making it on The Apprentice reality TV show? One! Why? Have you ever watched a whole episode or series from start to finish? It is ruthless at times. It is a lot of hard work. Not everyone can do it. People break down.
You and The Trump Network
Donald Trump aims to see The Trump Network become the biggest and best network marketing company of all time. I have no doubt that he has all the confidence and business smarts to accomplish this. He has learned this mentality of “never quit, never give up”, over many years of business experiences. However, not all those joining him share this. He is already making the mistake of broadcasting his company as the biggest and best, but he will soon realize that this boasting will not aid the common Joe that joins him looking for his piece of success.
You, the Trump Networker, are going to have to realize, the Trumpman will not be your reason why you become successful, YOU will be. Go ahead, call Donald Trump up after you receive your first rejection from a family member who hates anything that has to do with Trump. Cry on his shoulder. Guess what he is going to say, if you get to talk to him at all? Come on, read his books. They’ll tell you.
Tell me this, why did you join The Trump Network? I want to know. Why did you fly to Miami? Why should I join YOU. I welcome all Trump Networkers to post the reason why they joined Donald Trump in his newly launched business here. Why do you feel so desperate to flood people’s mailboxes, facebook pages and twitter logs with your NEEDY plea. Only responses without profanity allowed!

I have my own mixed feelings about the Trump Network starting with their recruitment. Just for giggles and to see what this is all about I opted in for more information.
Now realize that I gave up an e-mail address putting me on a list. I waited a day for a response but received nothing except an autoresponder leaving me with a name and address of my potential sponsor.
So after 24 hours I sent an e-mail asking about their marketing techniques and strategies. What kind of goals my sponsor has and how he is going to help me succeed in this business.
Guess what. I’m still waiting to hear from him. Perhaps he felt I was more experienced at this business and was intimidated. I did leave a link to my marketing blog. The truth is if this was a good fit we both could have learned from each other.
I’m not one to complain if my downline makes more sales than I do. Heck that’s money in my pocket. I guess he must have been green not to realize that.

Obviously Trump is trying to ride on his own name to make this business work. I’m curious to see it’s sustainability over the next 12 months. Many people are entering the business just for the name, but you should never start a business purely based on celebrity status. You should always do your due diligence prior to entering any business opportunity and only start if you feel compatible with the product and compensation plan before anything else.
